Desperate Little Harlot

When the lives of others

Are forced down your throat

Causing you to suffocate in their despair

You are forced to show them pity

And leave behind remorse

You give them good advice

You never take

Weakly comforting them

Wondering when they would leave

You want some advice

You are a whore

A bitch

Skank

Liar

Faker

Drug addict

Loser

Seeker of attention

And a desperate little harlot

If every time I thought of you I’d get a flower, I’d forever walk in my garden.

When you dare to take a step forward but the world just keeps pushing you back.

When you face you’re fears only to have them rise back up again when you are finally happy.

When you feel like you found love then find his hand in another’s.

When you seem to be shrinking back into yourself.

When there is no one left to cry on because you pushed them all away.

When the tears just keep on coming and you cannot stop them.

When you cannot write anymore because all faith is lost.

When you see everyone else happy and think to yourself “I want that.”

When you cannot see the stars anymore.

When you just cannot take the thought of falling out of your head.

When you just cannot take it anymore…

Find him.

Somebody should tell us, right at the start of our lives, that we are dying. Then we might live life to the limit, every minute of everyday. Do it, I say! Whatever you want to do, do it now! There are only so many tomorrows.
— Pope Paul VI

Forest of Lies

The trees around me

Get taller

Get bigger

The sky is gone

Covered by branches

and leaves

The time of day

is unknown

I wonder around

But seem to be coming

Back to the same place

The noises swirl

Around my ears

Demanding attention

They are harsh and

Pierce through you

Stabbing at your

Wishes and dreams

Some bring happiness

but only for a moment

It lifts you up high

As high as the branches

Would allow

And then drop you

Almost smiling

As you fall to the ground

Ode to my Teddy

You have been with me

For years

You were there when I

Cried

And there with all my

Childhood laughter

You gave me comfort

When no ones else would

You listened

When I got angry

You understood me

More that I understood myself

You and I share

Every secret

Every tear

Every smile

You will never leave me

Will you Teddy?

I held you tight

When I got you

I hold you tighter now

Your fuzzy ears

Tickling my cheeks

The years have took

Their toll on you Teddy?

You will be alright

Won’t you Teddy?

You will always be there

Smiling on the corner of my bed

Waiting for my kind embrace

I will always embrace my Teddy

What happened to your

Eye Teddy?

Did you lose it?

Did I hug you too tight?

Your cute little bow

Always manages to be crooked

No matter how many times I fix it

Your brown eye seems to kind and inviting

You can never hurt me,

Right Teddy?

You were there with

Every move

You were there

Smiling

Whispering to

Everything will be ok

My Teddy

My true best Friend

You and your cute tux

Still waiting for

Mrs. Teddy?

My Teddy never

Made me sad

You were there when

I switched schools

Always smiling

Always happy

Always whispering

“Everything will be okay”

Where did you get that

Hole from Teddy?

Is it from all the times

We played in the

Sand box together?

You were with me

On the swing

On the sea saw

On the slide

You were my childhood friend

And my high school comfort

You always held my hand

How did you lose your

Hat Teddy?

Was it from all the times we

Played in the winter snow together?

The pure white snow

Made your beige fur

Look tattered and torn

You were there when

 Exams came around

Somehow whispering the

Answers in my ear

Where did you get that

Spot from Teddy?

That wasn’t from all the

Tea parties we had together

Was it?

You sat there in elegance

Sipping on earl grey tea

British ethics and all

You were there when

I had my first sleep over

You met many friends that day

Didn’t you Teddy?

Where did you

Go Teddy?

Did you get

Too old?

Too Dirty?

Too torn?

Your loving presence

Will never be felt again

You said you wouldn’t

Leave me Teddy

Where did you go

My Teddy?

To the Moon

The moon can’t shine without the glowing sun

Providing the soft light in my darkness

Sweetly whispering in my ear to run

Take your chances and don’t dare second guess

Though we cannot be together just yet

Your name on my lips is like sweet sugar on my lips

You’ve been on my mind since the day we met

You are the face that launched a thousand ships

Though your body is far away from me

Forever is your heart close to my own

Waiting for the day together we’ll be

Sadness invades me when I am alone

I promise I will fly to you, my sweet,

I yearn for the day we finally meet.
